Like the freight train which starts out slow, I attack the small, easy tasks. As I knock them out quickly I will gain momentum, similar to the freight train which is gaining speed. Then I will attack the medium sized tasks and by the time I get to the large tasks I become unstoppable, just like the freight train that is powering down the track. I won’t quit because I have invested so much time that I can’t bear to think about the time that would be wasted if I gave up.

Whatever your favorite approach to planning, select the one that works best for you and go after it! 

To begin, make a regular to-do list that includes all of your daily responsibilities. Next, categorize them as “Urgent and Important,” “Non-Urgent and Important,” “Urgent and Unimportant,” and “Not Urgent and Unimportant.” Once you’ve identified these categories, act on your to-do list accordingly: do, schedule, delegate, and eliminate things as you organize your day.
